Hereford Development Centre

Established in 2024, the Hereford Development Centre offers a football pathway that is open to mixed genders and ages from U12s to U16s. Our Player Development Centre concentrates on essential skills necessary for players to progress to higher levels, linking community and academy football. Throughout their time with us, players will enhance their individual, technical, and mental abilities, learning to apply them in actual game situations. Our sessions are designed to be enjoyable, inclusive, competitive, and focused. Our primary goal is to develop our players both as individuals and as athletes prepared for the next stage of their football journey.

All teams at our Hereford Development Centre compete in the MJPL. Each team trains twice a week at our state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of Herefordshire and plays a game every Saturday. Throughout the season, each team will play a minimum of 22 games. In league matches, all players receive equal playing time, while in cup games, the coach selects the strongest available starting team and playing time as deemed appropriate. Trials for the following season are held in May/June each year, welcoming all players, including current ones who must also re-trial. All coaches possess at least a Level 2 certification, along with the necessary safeguarding, first aid, and DBS checks/qualifications.
